Arrests for May 17, 2018

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests May 7 – 14. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department

May 9

Richard Taylor Sluder, 19, of Asheville, was charged with simple assault. A secured bond of $500 was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest.

Samantha Marie Bates, 19, of Franklin, was charged with marijuana paraphernalia, no operators license. An unsecured bond of $600 was set. David F. Head made the arrest.

May 10

Kyle Chase Alexander Bush, 21, of Franklin, was charged with domestic violence protective order violation. No bond was set. Brian W. Mitchell made the arrest.

Samuel Kaelyn Bostic, 20 of Sylva, was charged with failure to appear for possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, no operators license. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Matthew W. Bowman made the arrest.

May 12

Charles Thomas McCall, 50, of Cashiers, was charged with fugitive out of state. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest.

May 13

Chyenne Rose McConnell, 18, of Franklin, was charged with possession of burglary tools, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving while license revoked,. A secured bond of $10,000. William D. Stamey made the arrest.

May 14

Michael L. Keener, 48, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $3,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Tyler William Coppersmith, 25, of Franklin, was charged with driving while license revoked, reckless driving with wanton disregard. A secured bond of $500 was set. Michael R. Hollifield made the arrest.

Franklin Police Department

May 7

Nicole Julian Wend, 36, of Riverbend Rd., was charged with possession of cocaine/schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possess burglary tools. A secured bond of $9,000 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Candice Nicole Daves, 28, of Cheek Rd., was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possess burglary tools. A secured bond of $7,000 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

May 11

Kenneth Khristopher Knight, 32, of Mica City Rd., was issued an order for arrest for driving while license revoked. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Randy S. Dula made the arrest.

May 12

Tia Anne Marie Boatright, 22, of N. Womack St., was charged with driving while license revoked. An unsecured bond of $800 was set. Dwayne S. Cabe made the arrest.

Cody Sean Anderson, 23, of Nickajack Rd., was charged with driving while license revoked, permit operating a vehicle with no insurance, drive/allow motor vehicle with no registration. An unsecured bond of $500 was set. Dwayne S. Cabe made the arrest.

May 13

Kersi Lee Countryman, 23, of New Liberty Rd., Clarksville, Ga., was charged with resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Timothy J. Lynn made the arrest.

Caleb Scott Tallent, 28, of Franklin, was charged with break/enter a motor vehicle, injury to personal property. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Devin E. Holland made the arrest.

Araceli Garcilita, 19, Roller Mill Rd., resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Laurie C. Beegle made the arrest.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

May 7

Daniel Dwain Wallace, 37, of Snapdragon Lane, was charged with failure to appear for probation violation. A $7,500 bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest.

Ronnie Edward Dawson, 54, of Fort Wilderness Campground, Whittier, was charged with failure to appear for show cause, felony conversion. No bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

Jamie Ray Hornbuckle, 42, of Olivet Housing Rd., Cherokee, was charged with larceny. No bond was set. Robert E. Portermade the arrest.

May 8

Debra Michelle Guthrie, 25, of Pigeon Lane, was charged with criminal damage to property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A $1,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Shannon Nichole Petterson, 27, of Pigeon Lane, was charged with trespassing, breaking and entering. A $6,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Daniel Alanson Cantrell, 32, of Pigeon Lane, was charged with trespassing, breaking and entering. A $2,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Valchan Hristove Valchanov, 41, of Brandywine Circle, of Atlanta, Ga., was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses. A $225,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

Joseph Terry Lanier, 62, of Westview Dr., Balsalm, was charged with driving while intoxicated. A $500 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

May 9

Sheyenne Victoria McClellan, 18, of Omega Ct., Tuckasegee, was charged with failure to appear for driving while license revoked. A $1,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest.

Brandon Scott Holcombe, 46, of Pete Luther Rd., Candler, was charged with failure to appear for allow dogs to run at large. A $5,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest.

Victor Gregory Stephens, 22, of Cope Creek Rd., was charged with felony larceny, interfering with electronic monitor system. A $20,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

Michelle Paula Ross, 38, of Copper Head Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear with misdemeanor probation violation. A $5,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

William Lee Cochran, 46, of Norton Rd., was charged with probation violation. A $20,000 bond was set. Samantha A. Tomeck made the arrest.

Courtney Leigh Hicks, 26, of Hicks Hollow Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for shoplifting concealment of goods, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. A $10,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

Roberto Miguel Perez-Cervantes, 18, of Sunday Dr., Franklin, was charged with weapons on educational property. A $1,000 bond was set. James A. Brown made the arrest.

David William Norman, 47, of 4th St., Waynesville, was charged with damage to property, communicating threats, resist/obstruct/delay, assault inflicting serious injury. A $20,000 bond was set. Chrystal D. Deitz made the arrest.

Nancy Mae Turner, 25, was charged with failure to appear for misdemeanor larceny. A $5,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.

May 12

Lee Metcalf, 43, of Posey Blanton Dr., was charged with communicating threats, simple assault. A $1,500 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest.

Nanthaniel William Stiles, 22, of Quin Town Rd., Waynesville, was charged with failure to appear for felony probation violation out of county. A $100,000 bond was set. Stephen B. Watson made the arrest.

Fred McKinley Taylor, 66, of Little Cove Rd., was charged with resist/obstruct/delay, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than 1/2 oz. A $1,000 bond was set. Megan L. Rhinehart made the arrest.

Monica Elise Hernandez, 35, of Pine Creek Rd., Cullowhee, was charged with resist/obstruct/delay, financial identity fraud. A $6,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.

May 13

Kameron Michael Jones, 19, of Plum Hill Way, Simpsonville, S.C., was charged with maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule IV controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule I controlled substance. A $20,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.

Charles Michael Nash, 29, of Union Hill Rd., Whittier, was charged with failure to appear for probation violation, carrying a concealed weapon. A $500 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest.

Victoria Michelle Park, 46, of N. Country Club Dr., Cullowhee, was charged with failure to appear for hit/run, reckless driving. A $1,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.
