The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests Jan. 23 – Feb. 13. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon CountySheriff’s Department

January 23

Bruce Zachary McDonald, 19, of Franklin, was charged with first degree burglary, larceny, larceny of a firearm. A secured bond of $200,000 was set. Troy L. Burt made the arrest.

February 5

Kelsey Anne Potter, 26, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, possession of marijuana paraphernalia. A secured bond of $4,000 was set. James E. Crawford III made the arrest.

Seith Patrick Steiert, 25, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $11,000 was set. James E. Crawford III made the arrest.

February 6

Elizabeth Regina McClure, 48, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A $3,500 bond was set. David Blanton made the arrest.

Austin Dakota Hudson, 20, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear, driving while license revoked. A $7,000 bond was set. Anthony W. Momphard made the arrest.

Gary Shannon Russell, 44, of Franklin, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed gun, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer. A secured bond of $17,500 was set. David Blanton made the arrest.

February 7

Michael David Swensen II, 25, of Franklin, was charged with driving while license revoked no impaired revocation, possession of firearm by a convicted felon. A $5,000 bond was set. James E. Crawford III made the arrest.

Christopher Mark Townsend, 28, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for peddle license violation. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest.

Carrie Elizabeth Williams, 23, of Franklin, was charged with aid and abet larceny. An unsecured bond of $2,500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Charles Stephen Chapman, 22, of Franklin, was charged with larceny by an employee. A $10,000 bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

February 8

Ralph Joseph Ferrara, 46, of Franklin, was charged with assault causing physical injury on law enforcement/parole officer, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer, rear lamps violation. A secured bond of $3,000 was set. James E. Crawford III made the arrest.

Harold Andrew Williamson, 37, of Franklin, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $15,000 was set.  David Blanton made the arrest.

Michael Joseph Monteith, 29, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. David Blanton made the arrest.

James Randall Martin, 52, of Franklin, was issued a true bill of indictment for possession with intent to sell/deliver counterfeit controlled substance. A secured bond of $25,000 was set. David Blanton made the arrest.

February 11

Thomas Howard Giesy, 60, of Franklin, was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance on prison/jail premises, driving while license revoked, exceeding a safe speed. February 12

Billy Dale Crisp, 40, of Robbinsville, was charged with fugitive out of state, true bill of indictment for possession of methamphetamine, failure to appear for littering. A $15,500 bond was set. David Blanton made the arrest.

Michael David Swenson II, 25, of Franklin, was charged with breaking and/or entering, larceny after break/enter, possession of stolen goods/property. A secured bond of $55,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Michael Kevin Monteith, 56, of Sylva, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, conspire to traffic in methamphetamine. A $120,000 bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Geronimo Garcia Mendoza, 26, of Franklin, was charged with driving while intoxicated for alcohol, no operators license, impeding the flow of traffic. An unsecured bond of $500 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

February 9

Gabrielle Dairis Posey, 22, of Mountain Springs Rd, was charged with possessing/concealing stolen property. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Justin M. Norman made the arrest.

Jason Warren Hill, 36, of Middle Dr., was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Christopher Raymond Davis, 30, of Coon Creek Rd., was charged with assault on a government official, drunk and disruptive, injury to property, resist/obstruct/delay. A $500 bond was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Michael Alfred Bass, 57, of Main St., was charged with simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, second degree trespass, assault on a female. A $4,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holoman made the arrest.

Justin Ryan Huskey, 30, of Williamson Rd., Whittier, was charged with failure to appear for operate a vehicle with no insurance, expired tag, unsafe tires, fictitious tag, driving while license revoked. A $1,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest.

William Jeffery Haynie, 29, of John Larch Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for possession of revoked driver license, driving while license revoked not impaired revocation. A $500 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Charlie Edward McCoy, 39, of Tequila Heights, was charged with communicating threats. No bond was set. Dwight D. McMahan made the arrest.

Mikayla Renee Sheriff, 22, of Yellowhill Rd., Cherokee, was charged with fraud for obtaining money/property by false pretense, larceny of anti theft device, possession of stolen goods, larceny, resist a public officer, identity theft, organized retail theft, conspire to commit felony larceny, larceny. Anthony Louis Grimes, 28, of Hornbuckle Creek, Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for possession of cocaine, felony probation violation. A $110,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Nathan Karl Brady, 35, of Columbus George Rd., Cherokee, was charged with school attendance law violation,, probation violation out of county. A $40,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

William Rex Bryson, 61, of Norton Rd., Cashiers, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. A $1,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.

Joey Sadongei, 38, of Whittier Hights Rd., Whittier, was charged with resist arrest. A $200 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Daniel Dwain Wallace, 37, of Snapdragon Lane, was charged with failure to appear for possession of stolen goods/property, failure to appear for misdemeanor larceny,  remove/destroy/deactivate component. A $10,000 bond was set. Kenneth D. Woodring made the arrest.

Jeremy Travis Hensley, 37, of Redoak Dr., Maggie Valley, was charged with assault by strangulation. A $5,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.
