mcso_logoThe Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests April 4 – 10. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department 

April 4

  • Rebecca Elise Brown, 24, was charged with resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $500 was set. Kimberly Osborne made the arrest.

April 6

  • Jeremiah John Jones, 24, was charged with failure to appear for speeding and reckless driving. A secured bond of $500 was set. Ryan Angel made the arrest.
  • Freddie Clay Scarlett, 55, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of  firearm by a felon. A secured bond of $8,500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

April 9

  • David Duane Ledford, 40, was charged with failure to appear for possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a schedule II controlled substance, felony probation violation. A secured bond of $8,000 was set. Kenneth J. Adams made the arrest.

Franklin Police Department

April 6

  • Steven Paul Anderson, 26, of Franklin, was charged with trespassing. A secured bond of $500 was set. Timothy J. Lynn made the arrest.

April 9

  • Randall Keith Stanley, 51, of Pressley Rd., was charged with simple worthless check. No bond was set. Joanthan C. Bean made the arrest.
  • Charles Jacob Slagle, 29, of Slagle Farm Rd., was charged with inhaling toxic vapors, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. Kevin J. Breedlove made the arrest.
  • Sara Beavers Therrel, 24, was charged with driving while intoxicated for alcohol, flashing red traffic light. An unsecured bond of $1,000 was set. Robert G. Ray III made the arrest.

April 10

  • Porfirio Ruiz-Garcia, 43, of Rogers Rd., was charged with driving while intoxicated for alcohol, no drivers license. An unsecured bond of $1,000 was set. Robert G. Ray III made the arrest.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

April 4

  • Chrisian Nicole Franks, 19, of Parris Branch Rd., was charged with simple assault. No bond was set. Mark C. Junaluska made the arrest.
  • Charles Edward Oliver Price, 26, of Whitewater Dr., Cherokee, was charged with assault on a female. No bond was set. Edward J. Smith made the arrest.
  • Daniel Michael Molina, 37, of Gardenia Ln., was charged with assault on a female. Ridge A. Parris made the arrest.
  • Jerry Ryan Smith, 48, of Hayfield Rd., was charged with misdemeanor probation violation, driving while intoxicated level 4. A $1,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.
  • Beth Ann Mathis, 29, Sergeant Loop, was charged with failure to appear for revoked tag, driving while license revoked not impaired revocation. A $1,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest.
  • Leoda Mathis, 72, of Hensley Cemetery Rd., Whittier, was charged with sexual battery. A $15,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest.
  • David Ray Calhoun, 26, of Sleepy Hollow, Dillsboro, was charged with failure to appear for larceny shoplifting, malicious conduct by prisoner, resist/obstruct/ delay, assault on a government official. A $50,000 bond was set. Sean K. Bryson made the arrest.

April 5

  • Carly Dea Maples, 39, of Goose Creek Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for attempted break and enter building, injury to real property. A $4,000 bond was set. Kyle P. Efird made the arrest.
  • Leoda Mathis, 72, of Hensley Cemetery Rd., Whittier, was issued an order for arrest for felony probation violation. A $40,000 bond was set. Lucas T. Brooks made the arrest.
  • Billy Joe Brady, 48, of Sam Brady Rd., Cherokee, was issued a order for arrest for true bill failure to appear on felony. A $65,000 bond was set. Lucas T. Brooks made the arrest.
  • John Edward Bradley, 42, of Moody Reid Rd., Cherokee, was issued an order for arrest for expired registration, drive allow motor vehicle with no registration, operate vehicle no insurance, misdemeanor probation violation. A $18,000 bond was set. Lucas T. Brooks made the arrest.
  • Frieda Martinez Barrera, 37, of Old Mission Rd., Whittier, was issued an order for arrest for fictitious/altered title, no insurance, exceeding safe speed, failure to secure passenger under 16, driving while license revoked. A $11,000 bond was set. Daniel B. Wellmon made the arrest.

April 7

  • Juli-Anne Summer, 26, of Clayton St., was charged with failure to appear for common law forgery. A $5,000 bond was set. Darrell J. Brooks made the arrest.
  • Michael Thad Schrader, 46, of Red Tail Ln., Cullowhee, was charged with probation violations. A $5,000 bond was set. Rollie L. James III made the arrest.
  • Gilbert Hall Efird, 54, of Springdale Rd., Concord, was charged with second degree trespassing,  first degree trespassing. A $3,000 bond was set. Darrell J. Brooks made the arrest.
  • Ronnie Steven Swisher, 19, of Fenway Place, Tuckasegee, was charged with failure to appear for fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag, expired/no inspection, speeding, driving while license revoked. A $250 bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest.

April 8

  • Kyle James Ward, 24, of Lacree Dr., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for driving while license revoked. A $250 bond was set. Mark C. Junaluska made the arrest.
  • Brady Lee Fortner, 21, of Poker Branch, was charged with simple physical assault. No bond was set. Edward J. Smith made the arrest.

April 9

  • Lora Porter Gary, 36, of Friendship Rd., Hoschton, Ga., was charge with simple physical assault. A $1,500 bond was set. Lucas T. Brooks made the arrest.

April 10

  • Steve Allen Teesatekie, of Old Soco Rd., Whittier, was charged with assault on a female. No bond was set. Kyle P. Efird made the arrest.
