The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests March 26 – April 1. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department 

March 26

April Renee Burd, 24, of Franklin, was charged with breaking and entering. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. David Blanton made the arrest.

Kayla Noel Guest-Snyder, 32, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for fictitious information to officer/ unsafe tires. A secured bond of $500 was set. David Blanton made the arrest. 

March 27

Joseph Michael Cyphers, 28, of Franklin, was charged with failure to pay child support. A $1,119 bond was set Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest. 

Nicole Marie Mannel-Porzel, 36, of Otto, was charged with felony child abuse sexual act, statory sex offense with a child by an adult. A secured bond of $1,000,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest. 

Haley Morgan McCall, 23, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $6,500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest. 

March 31

Richard Jeffery Vannucci, 42, of Franklin, was charged with trespassing, communicating threats, cyberstalking. A $3,000 bond was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest. 

Kaitlin Sara Fitzgibbons, 26, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer, simple possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, misdemeanor probation violation. A secured bond of $13,000 was set. Anthony W. Momphard made the arrest.  

Richard Anthony Owens, 60, of Franklin, was charged with assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer, communicating threats, injury to personal property. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. Anthony W. Momphard made the arrest. 

Brandon Lex Penland, 29, of Franklin, was charged with  possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana, equipmant/paraphernalia, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer, misdemenanor probation violation. A secured bond of $17,000 was set. Anthony W. Momphard made the arrest.  

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

March 26

Gary Allen Mays, 36, of Yellow Mountain Rd., Cullowhee, was charged with misdemeanor child abuse, assault on a female. No bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest. 

March 27

David Christain Griffith, 38, of Blind Side Lane, Cashiers, was charged with felony conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, attempted breaking and entering forcible, obtaining money/property by false pretense, possessing/concealing stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering, breaking and entering. A $85,000 bond was set. Rollie L. James III made the arrest. 

Pamela Austin Frady, 45, of Watson Branch Rd., was issued a bill of indictment for failure to appear. A $75,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest. 

Joseph Phillip Hogan, 34, of Rocky Meadows Lane, Concord, was charged with failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine. A $6,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest. 

Destinee Janika McElroy, 26, of Atkinson St., Asheville, was charged with failure to appear for shiplifting concealment of goods. A $1,500 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest. 

Randall Damian Driver, 28, of Rachael Watty Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine, probation violation. A $15,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.  

Timothy Scott Lawrence, 49, of Valor Mountain Rd., Cullowhee, was charged with habitual felon. A $25,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Joseph Daniel Perry, 27, of Crossroad Hill Rd., Canton, was charged with habitual felon. A $50,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Joseph Willard Mathis, 23, of Saturn Lane, was charged with habitual breaking/entering. A $100,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Matthew Scott Justice, 39, of Snapper Hill, Cullowhee, was charged with fugitive. A $5000 bond was set. Rollie L. James III made the arrest. 

Jason Lee Bock, 36, of Medicine Mountain Rd., Cashiers, was charged with communicating threats. No bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest. 

Ashley Ann Hernandez, 36, of Medicine Mountain Rd., was charged with communicating threats. No bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.   

March 28

Joshua Warren McDowell, 37, of Cook Rd., Highlands, was issued an order for arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of methamaphetamine. A $10,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest. 

Jeremy Scott Robinson, 42, of Poplar Dr., was charged with possessing/concealing non-tax paid liquor, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than 1/2 to 1 1/2 oz, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of mathamphetamine. A $7,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest. 

Larissa Renee Armachain, 32, of Clement Cucumber Rd., Cherokee, was charged with larceny, possessing/concealing stolen property. No bond was set. Kenneth D. Woodring made the arrest. 

March 29

Quenton Earl Barker, 23, of Cozy Cove Rd., was charged with failure to appear for probation violations. A $20,000 bond was set. Kyle P. Efird made the arrest. 

William Bryan Maney, 28, of Slim Dillard Rd., was charged with failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia. A $1,000 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest. 

Jeremy Richard Black, 39, of Planten St., was charged with failure to appear for possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. A $1,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest. 

Lily Davina Wilson, 24, of Blind Side Lane, Cashiers, was charged with felony conspiracy, injury to real property, injury to personal property, possessing/concealing stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering, breaking and entering forcible, conspiracy to obtain property, fraud for obtaining money/property by false pretense. A $195,000 bond was set. Sean K. Bryson made the arrest. 

March 30

Zachary Martin Bombay, 23, of Blockhouse Rd., was issued a child support purge. A $2,321 bond was set. Chrystal D. Deitz made the arrest. 

Richard Burgess Kinsey,  30, of Pine Creek, Cullowhee, was charged with resisting public officer, larceny of a motor vehicle. A $5,500 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

James Parker Bryson, 20, of Divide Dr., Cashiers, was charged with felony probation violation, possess/sell/buy altered gun serial number. A $6,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Tony Dustin Gregory, 27, of Chipper Curve Rd., was charged with parole violation. No bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

 

March 31

Moises Flores Santana, 38, of Medicne Mountain Rd., Cashiers, of driving while intoxicated for alcohol and/or drugs. No bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

Kenneth Lee Tramper, 39, of Lee Bird Rd., Cherokee, was charge with drinking beer while driving, failure to wear seat belt, driving while license revoked, resist arrest. A $500 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest. 

Ashley Nicole McGuirk, 38, of Battley Creek Rd., was issued a North Carolina Governor’s Warrant. No bond was set. Stephen B. Watson made the arrest.  

Melissa Ann Coggins, 29, of Castle Rock Circle, was charged with violating court order. A $2,500 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

April 1

Dennis Wayne Sturgis, 35, of Toohow Rd., was charged with violation of court order. A $2,500 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Ericka Beth Jolley, 29, of Jolley Lane, Columbus, was charged with failure to appear for possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of wine/liquor/mix beverage under 21. A $1,000 bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest. 

Toby Alexander Crowe, 29, of Meat Branch Rd., Cherokee, was charged with assault on a government official. A $10,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.
