Arrests for September 27, 2018

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests Dec. 1 – 10. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Franklin Police Department

September 17

James W. Henry, 79,  of Grandview Ct., was charged with driving while intoxicated, hit and run. An unsecured bond of $2,500 was set. M. A. Bingham made the arrest. 

September 19

Reford Allen Banks, 50, of Sutton Pl., was charged with assault on a government official, injury to personal property, disorderly conduct, resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $5,500 was set. M.A. Bingham made the arrest.  

Alexander Dakota Ballew, 25, of Nicely Rd., Hayesville, was charged with larceny. A secured bond of $1,500 was set. Elija D. Kirkland made the arrest. 

Donald Eugene Naftzger, 70, of Robs Way, Blairsville, Ga., was charged with larceny. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Elija D. Kirkland made the arrest. 

Amber Rae Czerok, 26, of Sylva, was charged with failure to appear for possession of stolen motor vehicle. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Devin E. Holland made the arrest. 

September 22

Lazaro Cuevas Cuevas, 43, of Unahala Creek, was charged with driving under the influence, driving while license revoked, resist a public officer. No bond was set. A.C. Stahl made the arrest. 

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

 September 15 

Amanda Mechelle Downs, 31, of Main St., Bryson City, was charged with assault on a government employee. A $750 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

Austin Scott Groom, 29, of North Journey Mountain Rd., Clayton, Ga., was charged with driving while license revoked, reckless driving to endanger, resisting a public officer, flee to elude arrest. A $5,500 bond was set. Jessse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

Joshua Wayne Chastain, 27, of Incinerator Rd., Clyde, was charged with failure to appear for fraud obtaining money/property by false pretense, forgery using/uttering, no liability insurance, fictitious/altered title registration card/tag, driving while license revoked. A $6,500 bond was set. Scottie R. Holder made the arrest. 

September 17

Jared James Winkey, 23, of Point Lane, Cullowhee, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. A $1,000 bond was set. Mark C. Junaluska made the arrest. 

Gustavo Martinez Martinez, 40, of Coppermine Court, Tuckasegee, was charged with damage to personal property, assault on a female. No bond was set. Stephen B. Watson made the arrest.

Andy Harold Fisher, 39, of Garnet Rd., was charged with failure to appear for simple affray. A $1,000 bond was set. Rollie L. James III made the arrest. 

Tyler Dale Fisher, 21, of Tathams Creek Rd., was charged with interfering with electric monitor device. A $2,500 bond was set. Mark C. Junaluska made the arrest.

John Franklin Pollack, 42, of Rocky Way Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for drunk and disruptive, disorderly conduct. A $1,500 bond was set. Conner L. Wilson made the arrest.  

Mary Inez Cagle, 46, of Old VFW Rd., Cherokee, was charged with simple assault. No bond was set. Josh A. Yopp made the arrest. 

Jason Lee Tramper, 38, of Old VFW Rd., Whittier, was charge with assault on a female. No bond was set. Josh A. Yopp made the arrest. 

Earl Dwayne Kickson, 57, of Faircrest Ave., Augusta, Ga., was charged with trespassing. A $1,000 bond was set Scottie R. Holder made the arrest. 

Rachael Nicole Brock, 37, of Mary Benson House, Asheville, was issued a true bill of indictment. A $10,000 bond was set. Mark C. Junaluska made the arrest. 

Joel Edward Lane, 31, of Nacoma Lane, Whittier, was charged with failure to appear for possession of marijuana paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, resist/delay obstruct, assault on a female, violation of court order. A $3,500 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

September 20

Jace Christopher Milkey, 20, of Wildhog Ridge Rd., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine. A $5,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Hannah Mikayla Hilton, 19, of Rosemont Rd., was charged with possession of methamphetamine. A $5,000 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest. 

Carrie Marie Welch, 28, of Homespun Rd., was charged with trespassing on railroad right of way, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, probation violation, failure to appear for larceny. A $6,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest. 

Travis Keith Mathis, 41, of Oak Ridge Rd., Tuckasegee, was charged with trespassing on a railroad right of way, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine. A $5,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest. 

Aaron Levi Owle, 22, of Pinolia Dr., was issued a true bill of indictment for failure to appear on a felony, possession of methamphetamine, assault on a female. A $20,400 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest. 

Alexis McMacken, 42, of Algonquin Ave., Jacksonville, Fla., was charged with communicating threats. A $2,500 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest. 

Tara Lynn Wolfe, 21, of Hallmark Lane, Whittier, was charged with fraud for obtaining money/property by false pretense, larceny. A $5,000 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest. 

Joel Edward Lane, 31, of Nacoma Lane, Whittier, was charged with domestic violence protective order violation. No bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

September 21

Lindsey Nicole Adams, 22, of Toohow Rd., Whittier, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on jail premises. A $5,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest. 

David Allen Fisher, 43, of Buff Creek Rd., was issued a child support purge arrest order. No bond was set. Maleah Mathis made the arrest.

Dana Denise Nalband, 46, of Linwood Ave., Atlanta, Ga., was charged with trespassing. No bond was set. Conner L. Wilson made the arrest.

Anthony Kelvin Sequoyah, 30, of Dragonfly Lane, Whittier, was charged with probation violation. A $5,000 bond was set. Sean K. Bryson made the arrest.
