Arrests for October 19, 2017

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests October 9 – 15. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department

October 11

Donald McLeon Long Jr., 30, of Franklin, was charged with possessing/concealing stolen property. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Michael R. Hollifield made the arrest.

Vanessa Lynnette Griffith, 19, of Franklin, was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. A secured bond of $1,500 was set. David F. Head made the arrest.

Dallas Giles Dishman, 24, of Franklin, was charged with possession of heroin. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. David F. Head made the arrest.

October 12

Griffin Sanders, 16, of Franklin, was charged with criminal damage to property for vandalism, disorderly conduct. An unsecured bond of $400 was set. Anthony Zari made the arrest.

October 15

Jalil Lee, 19, of Charlotte, was charged with assault on a female. No bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Raymond Paul Cooper, 54, of Franklin, was charged with assault inflicting serious injury. No bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Alejandro Franco Garcia, 21, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. David F. Head made the arrest.

Natasha Marie Kerberg, 30, of Otto, was charged with simple assault. An unsecured bond of $2,000 was set. Brian W. Mitchell made the arrest.

Ayden A. Watts, 18, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for reckless driving with wanton disregard, maintain lane control. A secured bond of $500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

October 9

Amber Nicole Stover, 30, of Saldeer Rd., was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resist/obstruct/delay, disorderly conduct, possession open container containing alcohol in passenger area. A secured bond of $3,000 was set. Randy S. Dula made the arrest.

October 10

Jalen David Bryant, 17, of Harper Lane, was charged with injury to real property, injury to personal property. An unsecured bond of $500 was set. Laurie C. Beegle made the arrest.

October 11

Jody McCreadle, 35, of West End Dr., was charged with simple physical assault. An unsecured bond of $750 was set. Christy M. Evans made the arrest.

October 12

Christopher Franklin Cosby, 41, of Green St., was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, failure to register motor vehicle, operate motor vehicle with no insurance, no inspection. A secured bond of $3,000 was set. Randy S. Dula made the arrest.

October 9

Brandon Alan Ball, 27, of Belts Branch Rd., Bryson City, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. A $10,000 bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest.

James Anthony Curtice,  55, of Holly Hills Rd., Bryson City, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle. A $10,000 bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest.

October 10

Thomas James Brady, 40, of Hwy 74 West, Whittier, was charged with carrying a concealed pistol, possession of a firearm by a felon. A $5,000 bond was set. Stephen B. Watson made the arrest.

Kimber Dawn Foxworth, 51, of Buff Creek Rd., was charged with failure to appear for possession of methamphetamine, probation violation. A $10,000 bond was set. Megan L. Rhinehart made the arrest.

Charles Timothy Holland, 39, of Scrimmage Lane., Cullowhee, was charged with failure to appear on a misdemeanor, driving while intoxicated. A $5,000 bond was set. Megan L. Rhinehart made the arrest.

Tyler Andrew Sutton, 24, of Thornhill Dr., was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. A $10,000 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.

October 11

Anthony Louis Grimes, 28, of Hornbuckle Creek, Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for a probation violation. A $20,000 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest.

Zachary Storm Grant, 20, of Apache Trail, was charged with communicating threats. A $500 bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

Malorie Yvonne Littlejohn, 30, of Clayton State, was issued a true bill. A $30,000 bond was set. William K. Davis made the arrest.

Jerry Ray King, 44, of Hwy 107, was issued an order for arrest for failure to appear for simple worthless check, seatbelt for driver no operators license, driving while license revoked, no motorcycle endorsement. A $2,250 bond was set. Dray E. Holland made the arrest.

Jeffery Dean Canaday, 54, of Match Point, was charged with drug violations for equipment/paraphernalia possessing/concealing, possession of methamphetamine. A $2,500 bond was set. Josh A. Yopp made the arrest.

Quenten Carrie Riggs, 21, of Pyramid Place, was issued a true bill of indictment for identity theft, conspire to obtain property by false pretense, obtaining property by false pretense. A $50,000 bond was set. Robert D. Nicholson made the arrest.

October 12

Brandon Henry Meadows, 20, of Clyde St., Franklin was charged with breaking and/or entering. No bond was set. Conner L. Wilson made the arrest.

October 13

Quenton Earl Barker, 23, of cozy Cove Rd., was charged with hint and run failure to stop property damage, reckless driving to endanger. A $1,000 bond was set. Stephen B. Watson made the arrest.

James Mark Kirkland, 29, of John Bull Mtn. Rd., Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for speeding, possession of marijuana, driving while impaired. A $7,500 bond was set. Andrew J. Parker made the arrest.

October 14

Christopher Todd Jones, 31, of Cloudy Valley Dr., was charged with consuming alcohol on premises of sale. A $500 bond was set. Josh A. Yopp made the arrest.

Dylan Hayes Lossaih, 23, of Crawford Cove, was charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting a public officer. A $500 bond was set. Jesse L. Henkel made the arrest.

Nathan Daniel Wood, 23, of Cabins In The Smokies, Whittier, was charged with failure to appear for assault on a female.  A $3,000 bond was set. Rollie L. James III made the arrest.

Tracy Bernard Gibson, 49, of Green St., Franklin, was charged with larceny by an employee, failure to register a motor vehicle, no insurance, fictitious registration. A $30,000 bond was set. Dray E. Holland made the arrest.

October 15

Eric Matthew Swayney, 27, of Wolfetown Rd, Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin. A $12,500 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest.
