County commissioners: Dig deeper!
The request by the MCPH (Macon County Public Health) for their budget adjustments as it was presented last week is just the tip of a much larger problem.
Their “pie in the sky” approach is at best a bad joke.
No reasonable budget manager can be described as prudent and worth their credibility as it was laid out.
One glaring example of this type of goings on is the request for vehicles. This was a classic “Fake and Dodge” strategy (we are the good guys) but we really want to hire and expand our bureauocracy by another $300, 000 or so.
Last week I went to the County Complex and I counted 31 (thirty one) white Ford vehicles parked there.
I monitored them for a week and on any given one of those days the maximum number that were used was 6.
The other 25 (twenty-five), never moved.
Here is my point: I am willing to wager that “we” are paying big bucks for the insurance on them (collision/liability .. etc) and not to mention associated maintenance costs. Besides, they need replacing every couple of years because it is not cool to drive out-moded old models that are two years old (it is part of the “Keeping up with the Jones”) mentality syndrome.
I see substantial cost savings here if we just sell off the unused ones.
Other county entities – like the education department that has at least 11 personal-type vehicles – probably have excess vehicles not being used. Maybe we can also lighten the burden on the “Motor Pool” for more cost savings when they don’t have to “wash and detail” all those cars.
With the county budget at some $49 million, be assured that there are likely several million to be saved by looking hard and not taking everything at face value as it was presented.
The headlines in the media always point out the big ticket expenditures and their costs (like the new fire sub-station), but the real issues are in the details.
It is time to take the county manager to task and get rid of the current “Go with the Flow” mentality and implement some real cost cutting and savings. They are there to be had.

Health care a very complicated problem
Better watch the ball closely as it bounces back and forth between political parties because as usual, it’s what they leave out that is relevant.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), supposedly a non-political bureaucracy, says we’ll end up with 23 million uninsured in the next 10 years. That sounds awful and the Left hopped on it right away.
But hang on, because they left out an important detail.
We already have close to 30 million people who are not insured even under Obamacare.
And that doesn’t include the 740,000 people who came to America on a visa and disappeared. Nor does it include an unknown number of Illegal aliens living in sanctuary cities which probably numbers in the millions.
Go ask gang members in South Chicago if they bought into Obamacare and they’ll break out laughing.
In the meantime, Obamacare is collapsing.
We know the basis for any medical insurance program to work effectively is everyone must be insured. Otherwise, you end up with only the sick buying insurance and this drives the costs up.
With some 30 million-plus people still uninsured Obamacare clearly did not succeed in getting everyone to sign up and pay a premium. Add in ridiculously high deductibles many people have which makes the insurance all but useless.
From what information I can gather, even the German and British systems still have the problem of getting everybody to sign up and a Single Payer system may not be a complete answer either. Americans are not the homogenous society they have in Germany who tend to walk in lock step and have a much smaller population than we do.
So what’s the answer? How do we get absolutely everyone to buy medical insurance and pay into the system?
How much responsibility does government have in forcing people to be responsible for themselves?
Some have suggested all medical treatments be free to all and we can do away with insurance completely. If it costs too much, just print more money.
The Cuckoo Clock is alive and well for them.
If nothing else, the recent debate over health care has brought to light it is a very complicated problem and obviously there is no easy answer.
Or, maybe it’s a question of personal responsibility.
The Left, with its view of big government should take care of us cradle to grave, feel they have the moral high ground.
The Right believe each of us should take responsibility for ourselves and government should stay out of our lives.
Take your choice.
No matter what, there appears to be no easy answer to a complex and difficult problem. Simplistic answers just won’t cut it.

It’s time to start looking out for America
What happened to our senators at the ballfield is a disgrace. Our country is in shameful shape. I am sure this story is a big one and for several hours TV news covered it. What upsets me is two or three days ago three American soldiers were killed by a friendly soldier who we Americans have supported for 10 or more years, yet the TV news covered it for about two minutes. I didn’t hear one Washington politician make any speeches about their deaths. But when the shoe is on another foot of theirs, all hell breaks loose.
It’s about time they in Washington start thinking about our young men. They so easily send them to fight for countries who really don’t like us Americans. But they sure like our money.
It’s time to stop defending them and start to look out for America. Save the future of our coutnry, I mean our young people. It’s time.

By faith you are all children of God
The upcoming Bible verses are worthy of our attention.
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel; which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Galatians 1:6,7.
“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man … but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:11, 12b
“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.” Galatians 2:4
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law; but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Galatians 2:16.
“For if the inheritance be of the law, it is not more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.” Galatians 3:18.
“But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:25, 26

Way past time to stand up and defend yourselves
I personally firmly believe the U.S. Constitution as it is written that all of us have the right and duty to keep and bear arms through the 2nd Amendment. The sole purpose of the 2nd Amendment was to insure our government could never control us and cause us harm like the British did.
I have spent a large portion of my life in service of my state and country (26 years) and took separate oaths to “protect and defend” the U.S. Constitution and its citizens against “all” enemies, foreign and domestic as both a U.S. Army soldier (six years) and Law Enforcement Officer, (20 years). Many members of my family also were in the military and in law enforcement.
Never in my 65 years of life so far, have I felt or feared we had as many “domestic and foreign” enemies trying to overthrow and destroy everything within our country as I do today.
The level of corruption and treason has reached an all time high and quite frankly makes me physically sick and disgusted with both my state and federal government who are getting paid by our hard earned money to work every day at destroying our rights and us, and make us into a third world country or worse.
Equally disturbing is the lack of concern and complacency throughout the country for many people not giving a damn about much of anything because they think it doesn’t concern them, will offend somebody or their saying or doing something would not make a difference anyway.
It is way past time for folks to stand up and defend yourselves and your state and country before it is too late and make a difference no matter what it may cost you. Your freedom and “God” given rights have never been in as much peril despite our history of over 200-plus years as a country.
We are the last generation of “Freedom Fighters” and we can not afford to sit on the sidelines and expect someone else to get the job done. The “buck” stops here and now with us to take up the fight and win this all out war that has invaded our country just like a massive cancer.
Losing is not a option we can even think about, so I suggest you learn how to defend yourselves if you don’t all ready know how, purchase a firearm or several with plenty of ammunition, stock up on food and water for at least six months and even longer, and join others with like minds (militias), and train or do what you can, to prepare for the inevitable war marching towards us.
The state and federal government have failed us and can not be expected to fix themselves or to be fixed.
It is just a matter of “when” not “if” anymore, when someone will blink and all “hell” will break loose from many different areas in our country or due to some nut job like in N. Korea and will kickstart WW III and a “Civil War” all at the same time.
If you are not already a student of both U.S. History and World History, I suggest you become a quick learner and prepare for this event while you still may have some time.
History backs me up with everything I am telling you today. President Trump will not be able to drain the swamp despite his best attempts and the swamp creatures will do everything possible to destroy him and our country and will likely succeed.
Choose wisely and prepare for which side of history you will be on, because it will literally make the difference between your life or death in the very near future.
May the Good Lord protect us all along and our country and give us the strength and courage for the fight of our lives.

Israelites remain the heavenly Father’s people
The original covenant scriptures (called the Old Testament) was a compilation of the Genesis, The Torah (called law), the writings and the prophets as a foundation of spiritual written truth to and for the heavenly Father’s people, the Israelites. Overall the Hebrew scriptures explained what was necessary to initiate and maintain the covenant relationship that was necessary to be called the heavenly Father’s children. The Elohim (called God) has said in scripture that they are the same yesterday, today and forever and change not. They also said that they would not alter the things that came from their mouths.
There are multitudes of prophecies that foretold of the messiah of Israel’s birth, life, death and resurrection. Praise be to his name, his son, Yahshua [Yahushua] was born in Bethlehem 2,000 ago and has fulfilled many of those prophecies. In the first chapter of Matthew we are told that a messenger from heaven told Joseph to name the child with the Hebrew name (that meant Yahweh – Yahuah – is our salvation.)
The scriptures tell us in Rev. 22, not to add to nor take away from his words. Unfortunately translations have done that very thing. Remember He will not alter that that has gone out from His mouth. Acts 4:12 says there is no other name under heaven where mankind can be redeemed. The heavenly Father’s and the Redeemer of Israel’s name have been taken out of his word over 7,000 times and replaced with pagan titles. 2 Corinthians 11:4 and Galatians 1:5-7 speak of another gospel and and another Yahshua. Yahshua said in Matthew 15:24 “I was not sent, but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
All who desire can become His family for He said in Revelation, “Whosover will let him come and take of the water of life freely.” Where did this religious entity come from that has changed his true Hebrew name and presented another gospel with so many changes (additions and removals of His precious word?) There are approximately two billion people on earth who call themselves Christian and about half of those are of the mother of Christianity’s faith, Catholicism. But what says the scripture?
Is there any other people on the planet that the Messiah of Israel says are His people? This new family are told that they have replaced the Messiah’s original family and now no longer have to obey his Torah. I John 2:4 says, “he that says he knows me and keeps not my commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.” The Messiah of Israel said, “If you love me keep my commandments.” The heavenly Father and the Redeemer have the same message: repent – to the same people, Israel – forever.
