This in conjunction with the the #pinkhydrantchallenge, Fire departments across the state are participating in the challenge. Franklin Fire Chief Kevin Rohrer said, “We want to encourage breast cancer survivors, family members or friends of those who have battled breast cancer, anyone who has lost a loved one to this disease, or anyone with words of encouragement to stop by and write something on the hydrant.” The hydrant will remain pink throughout the month of October.
