Entertaining an auditorium full of strangers, and reaching into their souls through worship and praise music, is everything Josh Havens, lead singer of The Afters has ever wanted to do. Following his dreams, Havens teamed up with his Starbucks coworker Matt Fuqua to establish the band in 2001. Havens and Fuqua, along with coworkers Brad Wigg and Marc Dodd released their first album in 2001 under the name the Blisse, before changing their name to The Afters  and releasing their second album in 2005.

Following a successful fall run, The Afters are joining several of Christian Music’s favorite artists to reunite this spring for the second leg of the Time of Your Life Tour, presented by Compassion International.

“We have all had such an incredible experience on this tour and have been afforded the opportunity to spread God’s message through music all over the country,” said Havens. “We want to provide a stellar show that praises God through music and fellowship.”

The Time of your Life Tour features Contemporary Christian artists The Afters, Chris August, Unspoken, and Among The Thirsty , who have collectively sold in excess of 650,000 albums domestically.

The Afters have released six albums and their music has been featured in both movies and television.  They have toured with MercyMe and won multiple Dove Awards.  Some of their hits include, “Light Up The Sky,” “Every Good Thing,” and “Lift Me Up.”  Current band members are: Joshua Havens on lead vocals, keyboard, and guitar; Matt Fuqua on vocals and guitar; Jordan Mohilowski on drums; and Dan Ostebo on bass guitar.

“From start to finish the show is full of energy and all of the artists are so dedicated to providing a complete experience for the entire crowd,” said Havens. “Everything builds off of each other and gets better and better as the night goes on.”

Chris August began his music career as a secular musician before switching to Christian music.  He recorded his first Christian album in 2010.  He has toured with great artists such as Newsboys and Francesa Battistelli, and has won multiple Dove Awards including Male Vocalist and New Artist of the Year in 2011. August has released three albums with a fourth due to release this summer.  Some of his hits include, “Starry Night,” “Come Now Our King,” and “Center of It.”

Unspoken is a Christian pop/rock band that includes Mike Gomez on guitar; Jon Lowry on guitar, keyboard, and vocals; Chad Mattson on vocals; and Ariel Munoz on drums.  The band released their freshman album, Unspoken, in 2014.  They have toured alongside Big Daddy Weave and Sanctus Real, and some of their most popular songs include, “Who You Are,” “Start A Fire,” and “Lift My Life Up.”

Among the Thirsty was formed in 2007 by two high school friends with the same goal in mind: to present the gospel to the world.  They have released two albums so far with fan favorites such as, “What Love Looks Like,” “Who You Say I Am,” and “You Are My Worship.”  They have been described as “The Beatles of Christian Music,” and have received many rave reviews.  Band members include: Ryan Daniel on lead vocals and guitar; Brock Douglas and Brian Scott Henderson on background vocals and guitar; and Alan Pelno on keyboard.
