The Macon County PUblic LIbrary presented “Modern Day Dinosaurs – Monitor Lizards with Paul Rue” on Tuesday, July 2. As part of the Summer Learning Program, kids learned about the habitat, feeding habits, life expectancy and many other facts about the monitor lizard. Next Tuesday, July 16, is “Theremins with Jesse Urban.” The theremin is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact. It is named after its inventor, Léon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928. The program begins at 10 a.m.
