Before sitting down to indulge in a Thanksgiving feast last Thursday, more than 100 runners headed to the Greenway for the third annual Cold Turkey 5k. Each year, Dave Linn of Bringing it to Life Productions hosts the Thanksgiving morning race which benefits a different charity each year. This year’s race beneficiary was local non-profit Read2Me, which promotes early literacy in Macon County.

“I think Read2Me is a terrific program and my children love the events and the books they get because of their efforts so I was excited to partner with them to host a fundraiser to support all they do in the community,” said Linn.
