The Franklin High School (FHS) Parking Lot was transformed into an outdoor place of worship on Sunday night. Members from several churches all came together for fellowship and inspiration led by First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Minister, Vickie Lawrence. Represented denominations included congregations from FUMC, Cullasaja Assembly, Yellow Mountain Baptist Church, Discover Church, Pinegrove Baptist, Lifespring, and All Saints Episcopal.

The band “New Creations” performed a variety of spiritual songs while also offering prayer and inspiration for the youth. New Creations is just that, new. The band was formed only two months ago and has only rehearsed a handful of times, but produced an amazingly professional performance to the appreciation of the crowd. New Creations members consist of six talented musicians – Trevor Rogers, Wesley Babb, Brian Marshall, Jared McQueen, Ariana Marshall and Brianna Vantol make up this recently formed band. They are available to play at local churches upon request.

Youth who attended this event were treated to a meal, games and a raffle. Barbecue, chips, ice cream and soda was on the menu.  Food was donated from Fat Buddies, by FUMC and prizes were donated by Outdoor 76 and Radio Shack. The event lasted nearly three hours with a crowd of about 76 attendees. Pastor Vickie Lawrence said she hopes to make this an annual event.
