The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests Oct. 17 – 25. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

October 19
Adam Phillip Armstrong, 22, of Daves Creek Rd., was charged with larceny of a firearm, obtaining property by false pretense. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Matthew W. Bowman made the arrest.
Lance Edward Hughes, 36, of Carolina Village Rd., was charged with breaking and entering. A $2,000 bond was set. Matthew W. Bowman made the arrest.

Uriel Nicodemos Rivera, 20, of Forest Ave., was charged with failure to appear. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Blake A. Buchanan made the arrest.

Benjamin Zephen Kennedy, 22, of Saw Mill Rd., was charged with possession of less than 1 1/2 oz of marijuana, driving while intoxicated alcohol and/or drugs. A $2,000 bond was set. Matthew T. Breedlove made the arrest.
October 22
Kelly Charles Sanders, 46, of Bryson City Rd., was charged with harassing phone call, threatening phone call. An unsecured bond of $1,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.
Candace Elaine Moore, 21, of Summertime Hill, was charged with failure to appear for driving while intoxicated level 5, notice to revoke unsupervised probation for failure to pay fine, driving while consuming over 21. A $4,000 bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

October 17

Deontay Gerwan Butler, 35, of Myers Dr., Cherokee, was charged with trafficking by possession opium/heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a schedule I and schedule II controlled substance, failure to appear for possession with intent to manufacture/ sell/distribute a schedule III controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana.
