mcso_log[36]The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests December 19 – January 2. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County  Sheriff’s Department 

December 20

Michael Kevin Young, 42, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for assault and battery, injury to personal property.  A secured bond of $1,500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Bayshen Emanuel Chavis, 19, of Franklin, was charged with simple assault, assault on a female, battery of unborn child. An unsecured bond of $2,500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Jacquelyn Ruth Stewart, 30, of  Franklin, was charged with forgery of an instrument, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $5,000 was set.  Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Jason Warren Hill, 35, of Franklin, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, breaking and/or entering, larceny after break/enter, possession of stolen goods/property, injury to real property. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Anthony Blake Sanders, 20, of Franklin, was charged with felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretense, failure to appear for breaking and/or entering, probation violation. A secured bond of $25,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Danny Lee Thomas Jr., 25, of Franklin, was charged with simple assault. An unsecured bond of $1,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

December 21

Arthur Scott Potts, 27, of Highlands, was charged with failure to appear for larceny from a construction site, possession/receiving stolen property, obtaining property by false pretense. A secured bond of $4,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Steven Gerald Knight, 33, of Franklin, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, injury to personal property, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, failure to appear for possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

December 22

Jason Warren Hill, 35, of Franklin, was charged with larceny, possessing/concealing stolen property, breaking and entering. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. Nick Lofthouse made the arrest.

December 23

Ian Alexander Neal, 29, of Franklin, was issued a true bill of indictment for habitual driving while intoxicated. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Sandra Crownover, 70, of Franklin, was charged with injury to personal property. An unsecured bond of $1,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

December 24

John Raymond Buscher, 46, of Franklin, was charged with hit/run failure to stop property damage, injury to real property. An unsecured bond of $2,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Marc A. Springer, 39, of Franklin was charged with failure to appear for aid and abet larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia, fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Robert Michael Griffin, 35, of Franklin, was charged with failure to comply with monetary condition. A $465 bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Ronnie Lee Queen, 34, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, drug violations for equipment/paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. A secured bond of $4,000 was set. David F. Head made the arrest.

Jonathan Wesley Day, 29, of Franklin, was charged with failure to report new address sex offender. A secured bond of $20,000 was set. Amber W. Wright made the arrest.

Timothy Wayne Bugg, 49, of Candler, was charged with assault inflicting serious injury. A $3,000 bond was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

January 2

William Dale Sheffield, 37, of Franklin, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, failure to stop for stop sign/flashing red light, failure to stop for steady red light, driving left of center, improper pass to close left, flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving, simple assault, communicating threats, felony probation violations. A $30,000 bond was set. Anthony Hopkins made the arrest.

December 22

Anita Brandi Alderman, 30, of Curtis St., was charged with aggravated assault for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. A secured bond was set. Kevin J. Breedlove made the arrest.

Thomas Michael Chatlos, 41, of Ross Justice Rd., Highlands, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $3,500 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Sheyenne Victoria McCellan, 17, of Middle Ridge Rd., was charged with failure to appear for cancel/revoke certificate tag, failure to appear for operating a vehicle with no insurance, failure to wear seat belt, reckless driving to endanger. A $500 bond was set. Brandon D. Hooper made the arrest.

Richard Gregory George, 22, of Swimmer Branch Rd., Cherokee, was charged with possession of stolen goods/property, identity theft, obtaining property by false pretense, failure to appear for allowing unlicensed to drive, fictitious information to an officer. Caleb Wilson Bradley, 25, Aurora Ln., was charged with failure to appear for driving while license revoked not impaired revocation, resisting a public officer, larceny. A $25,000 bond was set. Robert E. Porter made the arrest.

Joshua Scott Gibson, 32, of Oak Ridge Rd., Bryson City, was charged with child abuse, possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, possessing/concealing stolen property, larceny after breaking and entering. Rollie L. James III made the arrest.

Bobby Michael Holbrooks, 34, of Tenessee Hills Dr., Morristown, Tenn., was charged with felonious restraint, child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a female. No bond was set. Mark C. Junaluska made the arrest.
