The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests October  13 – 21. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department 

October 14

James William Morgan, 50, of Franklin, was charged with violating domestic violence protective order. A $3,000 bond was set. Jonathan A. Taylor made the arrest. 

Chad Wesley Spates, 33, of Franklin, was charged with communicating threats, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer, noise ordinance. An unsecured bond of $2,500 bond was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest. 

James Edward Hughes III, 42, of Franklin, was charged with simple assault. No bond was set. Brent C. Ledford made the arrest. 

October 15

Michael Joseph Monteith, 31, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear. A secured bond of $500 was set. Clay A. Saunders made the arrest. 

Jeremy Michael Clark, 26, of Waynesville, was charged with all other offenses. A secured bond of $5 was set. Brent C. Ledford made the arrest. 

Tiegha Shaye Franklin, 35, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for misdemeanor larceny. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Parrish W. Young made the arrest. 

Jeremy Edward Stepp, 27, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Jordan C. Sutton made the arrest. 

Colton Ryan Burch 28, of Franklin, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest. 

Tyler Elden Deats, 23, of Franklin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in prison/jail premises, warrant service for offense  committed in jurisdiction. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Joseph A. Ruby made the arrest. 

October 16

Luther Victory Stinnett IV, 26, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for domestic violence protective order violation. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Parrish W. Young made the arrest. 

Bailey Harrington, 18, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for simple possession of marijuana. A secured bond of $500 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest. 

October 18

Jack Travis Echols, 38, of Franklin, was charged with sex offender/child on premises. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. Clay A. Saunders made the arrest. 

Steven Gary Nicholson, 33, of Otto, was charged with carrying a concealed gun, flee/elude arrest, resist/obstruct/delay law enforcement officer. A secured bond of $55,000 was set. Clay A. Saunders made the arrest. 

October 19

Ryan David Finn, 39, of Franklin, was charged with trafficking opium or heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond off $40,000 was set. William D. Stamey made the arrest. 

Dustin Ryan Dyer, 28, of Bryson City, was charged with failure to appear. A secured bond of $22,000 was set. Jonathan Philips made the arrest. 

David Green, 23, of Franklin, was charged with injury to personal property, damage to coin/currency machine. An unsecured bond or $2,000 was set. Matthew Canzone made the arrest.

Tanya Haynes Jenkins, 22, of Franklin, was charged with trespass. An unsecured bond of $1,000 was set. Matthew Canzone made the arrest. 

October 20

Austin Lee Connally, 32, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. A secured bond of $2,500 was set. Nick Lofthouse made the arrest. 

Jessy Dakota Beaver, 26, of Franklin, was charged with failure to appear. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. James E. Crawford III made the arrest. 

Joey Tonegas, 41, of Franklin, was charged with child support enforcement contempt. A $1,128 bond was set. Parris W. Young made the arrest. 

October 21

John Michael Howard Jr., 40, of Franklin, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $3,500 was set. Parrish W. Young made the arrest. 

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department

October 13

Anita Nickole Flippo, 27, of Sherrill Cove Rd., was charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver heroin, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. 

Emery Lee Littlejohn, 34, of Tsali Crossing, Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for probation violation. A secured bond of $10,000 was set.

William Timothy Anderson, 42, of Wolf Mountain Rd., Tuckasegee, was charged with failure to appear for violation of unsupervised probation, driving while intoxicated level 5. A secured bond of $15,000 was set. 

Gregory Ryan Lockhart, 26, of Hampton St., was charged with failure to appear for unsupervised probation violation community service, notice revoked unsupervised probation failure to pay $540, resisting a public officer. A secured bond of $7,500 was set. 

William Joseph Conner, 28, of Azalea Motel, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a schedule II controlled substance. An unsecured bond of $5,000 was set. 

October 14

Billy Joe Riddle, 38, of Henry Dr., Clyde, was charged with resisting a public officer, assault on a government official/employee, assault causing physical injury detention employee, malicious conduct by a prisoner. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. 

Daniel Mitchell Shelton, 31, of Ridge Point, was charged with failure to appear for driving while impaired. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. 

Heather Medford Haynes, 28, of Stiles Rd., Waynesville, was issued an order for arrest for conspire to obtain property by false pretense. A secured bond of $50,000 was set. 

Lauren Ashley Riddle, 28, of Grizzly Ridge Rd., was charged with failure to appear for obtaining property by false pretense, possession of counterfeit instrument/currency. A secured bond of $2,500 bond was set. 

October 16

Alfred Joseph Lafon, 38, of Shadrack Lane, was charged with contempt for child support purge. A $6,869.26 bond was set. 

Zachary James Warman, 28, of Collie Court, Glenville was issued a child support purge. A $885 bond was set. 

Dustin Michael Aykroyd, 28, of Gerald Lane, Marble, was charged with driving while license revoked, failure to stop at steady red circular light, speeding, driving while left of center on dual lane highway where not authorized, possession of stolen motor vehicle, operate motor vehicle while fleeing/attempt to elude law enforcement, failure to drive vehicle as near as practicable entirely within a single lane. A secured bond of $6,000 was set. 

John Brody Luther, 29, of Lee Rd., Canton, was charged with sex act by parent/custodian, statutory rape of a child by adult, indecent liberties with a child, statutory sex offenses with a child by an adult. A secured bond of  $1,000,000 was set. 

Steven D. Jones, 62, of Diamond Ridge Rd., Whittier, was charged with simple assault, communicating threats. An unsecured bond of $500 was set. 

Rodney Dale Coggins, 52, of Diamond Ridge Rd., was charged with second degree trespassing, assault, communicating threats, assault by pointing a gun. An unsecured bond of $1,500 was set. 

Amanda Parnum Lione, 33, of Wishingstone Lane, was charged with communicating threats, first degree trespassing. An unsecured bond of $500 was set. 

Stacey Cameron Hoyle Lowe, 27, of Leatherwood Rd., was charged with first degree trespass. No bond was set. 

October 17

Skyler Laine Duckett,  41, of Sylva, was charged with extortion, trespass of real property, communicating threats. A secured bond of $15,500 was set. 

Travis Ryan Parker, 48, of Tuck View Lane, Dillsboro, was charged with larceny. A secured bond of $500 was set. 

Nicholas Antoine Gholston, 37, of Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag, drive allow motor vehicle with no registration, deliver accept blank open title, driving while license revoked not impaired revocation, carrying a concealed gun, possession of drug paraphernalia, second degree trespass. A $750 bond was set. 

Dora Carrion Alvarado, 48, of Toohow Rd., Whittier, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia not for marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine. 

Charles Randy Hughes, 62, of Shoal Creek Rd., Whittier, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine. No bond was set. 

October 18

Jeremy Lee Gunter, 34, of Wolftown Rd., Cherokee, was  charged with failure to appear for child support purge. A $300 bond was set. 

Esteban Vasallo Conteguera, 48, of Windy Gap Rd., Cullowhee, was charged with obtaining prescription by fraud/misrepresentation, failure to appear for possession of a schedule II controlled substance. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. 

Hannah Harris Morrow, 24, of Valley View Rd., Franklin, was charged with failure to appear for second degree trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, probation violation, possession of stolen goods, larceny of a motor vehicle. A secured bond of $22,000 was set. 

Glenn Hershel Strickland, 29, of Orions Lane, Whittier, was charged with failure to appear for school attendance law violation. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. 

October 19

Kimberly Natasha Owle, 26, of Bigwitch Rd., Cherokee, was charged with larceny from a person. A secured bond of $500 was set. 

Sonia Margarita Reyes, 22, of Adams Creek Rd., Cherokee, was charged with simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. No bond was set.
